Privacy policy

The short version

• Every calculation runs in your browser. Your measurements are never sent to us or anyone else.
• There are no accounts, no cookies, no adverts and no tracking or analytics.
• Your browser keeps a few settings on your device so the site opens where you left off. You can clear them at any time.

What is stored on your device

The site uses your browser’s local storage, not cookies, to remember a few things between visits. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us:

• Your last calculation and a short history of recent calculations
• Light or dark theme, and metric or imperial units
• The fraction rounding, paper size and 3D printer size you chose

You can remove it with “Clear history” in the converter, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Offline use

If you install Scale Converter as an app, or visit it again, your browser may save copies of its pages so they work without an internet connection. These copies contain the site itself, not your data.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details to use the site. We do not use analytics, advertising networks, social media plugins or third-party fonts. Fonts are served from this site, so no other company sees your visit through them.

Hosting

Like every website, the servers that deliver these pages receive basic technical information with each request, such as your IP address and browser type. Our hosting provider uses this only to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use it to identify you.

If you contact us

If you send us an email, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you, and we do not share it with anyone.

Children

The site does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site handles data changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
